Annapatat Kids

While Proudly South African children’s clothing label Annapatat isn’t a new brand – they launched online in 2015 and opened their first physical store at the Soko District in Rosebank in 2021 – but the BYY team has only recently discovered them. Interestingly, owner Anneke du Toit started Annapatat Kids, which specialises in gorgeous clothing for newborns to children aged 8, before she even had children on her own!

When asked why her business, which started as a hobby, has skyrocketed to success, Anneke said, “I am so fortunate to have loyal clients who have supported me with every collection I have launched – I think they see how unique my locally-designed and printed fabrics are which means they know they are getting pieces that can’t be found anywhere else.”

Some of our favourite finds in the store include the frilled romper (from R380), the irresistible kiddies turbans (from R190) and the peony-printed body vest (from R340), but actually, everything’s gorgeous and we wouldn’t mind adding it ALL to cart! You can shop online by clicking HERE.

Moms Baby Online Marketplace

The team here at BYY loves to support local businesses (especially when most of them are run by moms!), which is why we’re giving a huge shout-out to Moms Baby, a baby and maternity marketplace that gives local sellers a chance to open their own shop through their online portal. Genius! So what exactly is an ‘online marketplace’? It’s a multi-vendor platform consisting of individual stores managed by independent sellers on one website.
